DNA Fit is a simple genetic test enabling us to look at the genes that make us all individual and gain an understanding of an individual’s own DNA and how their body interacts with and reacts to different foods, lifestyles, toxins, exercise and the environment.
A key benefit is that the genes tested can be influenced by diet and lifestyle, which means Grace Medical practitioners are armed with the information needed to make informed health recommendations for a person, rather than adopting a ‘one size fits all’ approach to diet and exercise. DNA feedback includes details of the percentage of the different food groups an individual should be consuming e.g. – carbs – starch / fats / fibre / protein, as well as looking at any genetic predisposition to increased sensitivities to alcohol, caffeine and salt.
Exercise, along with injury risk and recovery rates are also included to help with exercising smarter – not just harder. Training smarter means faster and better results, driven towards goals that may arise from hormonal imbalances, the menopause or recovery post-pregnancy. As we age, exercise and its effect on our bones and heart are so important and having the knowledge of our actual disposition means maximum efficiency – and results – when training.
Tests can be administered and the results analysed with a qualified Grace practitioner. Tests are not available without an accompanying consultation.
